Lime Mojito Cocktail

The lime mojito consists of five key ingredients: white rum, sugar, fresh lime juice, club soda, and fresh mint. It’s a sweet combination of citrus and mint flavors which makes the mojito a popular summer cocktail.

  • 10 fresh mint leaves

  • 1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges

  • 2 tablespoons white sugar, or to taste

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • 2 oz. white rum

  • 1/2 cup club soda

Collins Glass, muddler, Sharp knife, measuring shot glass, measuring spoons.

Serves: 1 Cocktail

Before you handle any food, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Clean your kitchen work area and pull back your hair or wear a cap. You want to avoid contaminating your meal with harmful bacteria that could cause food illness.


To make the Lime Mojito:

1. Place mint leaves and 1 lime wedge into a Collins glass.

2. Use a muddler to crush the mint and lime to release the mint oils and lime juice.

3. Add 2 more lime wedges and the sugar, and muddle again to release the lime juice.

4. Do not strain the mixture. Fill the glass almost to the top with ice.

5. Pour the rum over the ice, and fill the glass with club soda.

6. Stir, taste, and add more sugar if desired.

7. Garnish with mint sprig and the remaining lime wedge.



Good Morning Mojito

Replace lime wedges with orange slices. Replace white rum with citrus rum. Add 1 ounce orange juice. Use a shaker to mix. Using and orange slice, moisten the rim of the glass and evenly dip the rim into whatever light brown sugar. Garnish with a bacon slice, maraschino cherry and orange slice.


Strawberry Mojito

Replace lime wedges with 2 strawberries, cut into quarters. Replace white rum with citrus rum. Add 1 ounce lime juice. Use a shaker to mix. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and strawberry.


Pineapple Coconut Mojito

Replace 2 wedges of lime with 2 chunks pineapple. Replace white rum with Bacardi Superior Rum. Add 1 ounce pineapple juice. Replace club soda with coconut water. Use a shaker to mix. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and pineapple wedges.


Vodka Blueberry Mojito

Replace lime wedges with 10 blueberries. Replace white rum with 2 oz blueberry vodka. Add 1 oz lime juice. Garnish with mint and or blueberries.

Mango Mojito

Replace lime wedges with 4 mango slices, peeled and chopped. Replace white rum with dark spiced rum. Combine ingredients in blender before adding club soda. Pour over ice and garnish with thin slice of mango.


Cotton Candy 'Magic' Mojito

Replace white rum with 2 oz Bacardi Superior Rum. Mix rum, sugar, and mint in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Place cotton candy into martini glass. Pour strained cocktail over the cotton candy.
