10+ EPIC Pizza Bagels Recipes

This recipe is perfect for kids for anyone on the go looking for a quick dish. Grab your favorite pizza toppings, bagels, pizza sauce and cheese and your pizza bagels are ready in minutes. You can use some creativity with bagel flavors, pizza toppings and cheese combinations.


  • 2 large plain bagels

  • For Vegans: Use freshly baked bagels that do not contain whey or eggs. Fresh breads from a bakery, bagel shop, or Farmer's market usually do not contain egg or dairy. Just ask to be sure if the product is being sold without a label.

  • For Gluten-free, use gluten-free bagels like Udi's® Gluten Free Plain Bagels.

  • ​1 cup preferred tomato sauce

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • For Vegans: Use an alternative like Daiya Vegan Shredded Mozzarella

  • For Gluten-Free: Use an organic cheese that doesn't contain distilled vinegar which is highly processed. Use a brand that may contain corn, rice or balsamic vinegar instea.

  • 1 TBSN dried oregano

  • 1 TBSN dried parsley

  • 1 TBSN dried basil

  • 1 TBSN garlic powder

  • (optional) Toppings, like pepperoni, mushrooms, or sausage.

Before you handle any food, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Clean your kitchen work area and pull back your hair or wear a cap. You want to avoid contaminating your meal with harmful bacteria that could cause food illness.


To make epic Pizza Bagels:


1. Preheat oven at 375 degrees F.

2. Cover cookie pan with aluminum foil. Do not grease pan. 3. Split bagels in half and place them face up on the sheet.

4. Using a tablespoon, spoon about a 1/4 cup of tomato sauce on top of each bagel half.

5. Use spoon or butter knife to spread sauce and cover the face of each bagel.

6. Generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce of each bagel.

7. Add any preferred toppings on top of the cheese. (see how you can ROCK OUT this recipe with various toppings below.)

8. Mix dried oregano, dried parsley, dried basil, and garlic powder in a small bowl.

9. Sprinkle herb mixture on top of cheese and toppings.

10. Place cookie sheet in oven and bake bagels for 12-15 minutes.

11. Remove bagels from oven when cheese is completely melted and slightly golden. Do not leave in too long or cheese will burn.

12. Serve hot.


1 bagel: 250 calories, 2 g fat (0 g saturated fat), 0 mg cholesterol, 540 mg sodium, 9 g protein, 3 g sugar, 2 g fiber, 50 g carbohydrates.


Bagels are a good source of complex carbohydrates, the popular bread can provide both energy and a range of micro-nutrients, such as calcium, potassium and B vitamins. Mozzarella is a great source of calcium and protein. It also contains high amounts of vitamins A and B12, along with zinc, phosphorus, and riboflavin. Tomato sauce is a major dietary source of the antioxidant lycopene, which has been linked to many health benefits, including reduced risk of heart disease and cancer. They are also a great source of vitamin C, potassium, folate and vitamin K.


Meat Lovers Pizza Bagel. For toppings, use mini pepperoni, crumbled sausage, and ground beef. Veggie Celebration Pizza Bagel. For toppings, use mushrooms, chopped onion, and chopped bell peppers.


Chicken & Bacon Pizza Bagel. For toppings use shredded cheddar cheese and top with cooked shredded chicken and crumbled bacon.

My Big Fat Greek Pizza Bagels. For toppings, use sliced black olives, chopped onion, and Feta cheese. Omit the Italian herb seasoning.

White Pizza Bagels. Replace tomato sauce with Alfredo sauce. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

Sweet Kahuna Pizza Bagels. For toppings, use pineapple tidbits, chopped ham or SPAM, and chopped green peppers. Omit the Italian herb seasoning.


Macaroni & Cheese Pizza Bagels. Replace tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese with shredded Cheddar cheese. For toppings, use cooked macaroni and cheese and top with more shredded Cheddar cheese.Omit the Italian herb seasoning.

Spicy Mexican Pizza Bagels. Replace tomato sauce with medium or hot salsa. Replace mozzarella with Cheddar cheese. For toppings, add shredded cooked chicken or ground taco meat. Omit the Italian herb seasoning and top with taco seasoning.


Cheeseburger Pizza Bagels

Replace mozzarella with American cheese. For toppings, add cooked ground beef. diced tomatoes, and chopped onions.


Cheddar & Bacon Pizza Bagels

Replace mozzarella with Cheddar cheese. For toppings, add crumbled bacon.
